COSIMENA Winter School 2025

This year's COSIMENA Winter School is organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Pharmacy at Galala University, the Department of Biochemistry at the German University Cairo, the Center for Molecular Biomedicine (CMB) at the Friedrich-Schiller Universität Jena, and the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the University of Lübeck within the framework of the COSIMENA Call for funding 2025. The Winter School is dedicated to ion channel research utilizing advanced biophysical methods to explore the contributions of ion channels to health and disease. An attractive combination of seminars and hands-on laboratory exercises offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into the physiology and pathophysiology of ion channels and related biophysical methods.

Date: October 26-30, 2025
Venue: The Winter School will take place at the DAAD Regional Office in Cairo, Egypt.
Applicants: Students from Germany or the MENA region with at least a Bachelor degree or MD students with an ongoing MD project. Subject areas: Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Pharmacy, Human Medicine
