On May 31, 2024, the Ernst Haeckel House opened its doors for the Long Night of Museums 2024.

  • Opening

    Opening Numerous guests visited the house and we were delighted with the interested conversations and exchanges.
    Here are a few impressions of the wonderful evening and the evaluation of the "Make a wish" station.
    At this station, visitors were able to make their wishes as to what they would like to see in the new exhibition in the Ernst Haeckel House in the future!

  • Looking forward

    The team at the Ernst-Haeckel-Haus eagerly awaited the first visitors to the Long Night of Museums 2024 in Jena.

  • Exhibition wishes

    At the "Make a wish" station, visitors were able to vote for what they would like to see in the future exhibition at the Ernst Haeckel House.
    The ballot box was opened after the Long Night of Museums and a folded paper boat was revealed. :)

  • Research Workshop

    Some students of the history of science presented their project work.
    As part of the research workshop, they worked with objects from Ernst Haeckel's estate, traced the stories and linked social, political and cultural-historical topics with each other.
