Jena offers many seminar rooms and lecture halls, but booking a suitable space for a workshop or symposium can be tricky. Here’s what to keep in mind:
1. Timing
- Booking outside the semester is easier.
- Rooms are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis — book early!
2. Costs
- Events are usually free if there's no entry fee and the topic is scientifically relevant.
3. Booking within FSU
- Check the Lecture Theatres and Function Rooms website.

- Please find available rooms in the section "Available facilities".
- Support for electricity, equipment, and advertising is available.
4. Booking Through Other Institutes
Institutes like HKI, FLI, or Abbe Photonics prioritize internal events. If you want to book, explain the event’s relevance and openness to guests.
